John McCarthy
Gaining experience on a seemingly endless succession of B-movies, his stock began to rise steadily in 1948 when he worked on Frank Borzage's Moonrise and Orson Welles' production of Macbeth. Assignments on Lewis Milestone's The Red Pony and Allan Dwan's Sands of Iwo Jima followed in 1949, films produced for Republic Pictures, with whom McCarthy was associated for many years. He was the recipient of an Oscar nomination in 1952 for John Ford's colourful The Quiet Man, the only Republic film to be so honoured.
By the mid-1950s and early 1960s, however, most of McCarthy's time was spent in television, where he worked on Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Wagon Train and The Munsters. Ironically, his television work led to better feature film assignments, all of them for Universal Pictures: Don Siegel's remake of The Killers (1964), the Doris Day comedy Send Me No Flowers (1964), the James Stewart Western Shenandoah (1965), Ronald Neame's caper movie Gambit (1966), for which he received a second Oscar nomination, the war epic Tobruk (1967), Coogan's Bluff (1968) and Robert Aldrich's acclaimed Ulzana's Raid (1972). Television still called him in the 1970s for programmes like Ironside and Columbo.

Saint-Pierre
After Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Inspector Donny "Fitz" Fitzpatrick digs too deeply into a local politician's nefarious activity, he is exiled to work in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon (the French Territory nestled in the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Newfoundland). Fitz's arrival disrupts the life of Deputy Chief Geneviève "Arch" Archambault, a Parisian transplant who is in Saint-Pierre for her own intriguing reasons. Saint-Pierre is a police procedural with French star Joséphine Jobert as Arch and Canadian star Allan Hawco as Fitz, and James Purefoy rounding out the stellar team. As if by fate, these two seasoned officers — with very different policing skills and approaches — are forced together to solve unique and exciting crimes. Although the islands seem like a quaint tourist destination, the idyllic façade conceals the worst kind of criminal activity which tend to wash up on its beautiful shores. At first at odds and suspicious of each other, Arch and Fitz soon discover that they are better together... a veritable crime-fighting force.

Forget any thoughts of fancy dress – they'll be full-on, original, movie-standard creations taking inspiration from worlds as varied as manga, superheroes, and wild animals and mythical creatures. Their transformations will be total, even their speaking voices will be disguised in interviews.
It will be up to a superstar panel to lead the viewers at home in their quest to discover who they are. Although the stars aren't judged on their voices, they'll still need to give their best performance – the audience's least favourite will be eliminated, before the panel try to guess their identity and unmask them.
