Together with Harald Eia, he has authored and participated in several successful NRK TV series, such as U:Natt (1994), starring with Monotelevision, Lille Lørdag (1995), Åpen post (1998–2002), Uti vår hage (2003), Team Antonsen (2004), Tre brødre som ikke er brødre (2005), Ut i vår hage 2 (2008) and Storbynatt (2010). Although most people regard his humor as intelligent, he has raised controversy several times. In 2002 Bård Tufte Johansen, representing Åpen post, mocked the media's double standards when the Norwegian Labour Party leader Thorbjørn Jagland was hospitalised after sustained media pressure. Behind the TV reporter reporting live from outside the hospital, Tufte Johansen jumped around in a chicken costume, cackling about media's treatment of Thorbjørn Jagland. This raised significant controversy in Norway.

Malory Towers

Based on the hugely popular book series of the same name by Enid Blyton, Malory Towers is a live-action series following 12-year-old Darrell Rivers as she leaves home for the first time to attend an all-girls' boarding school. Set in the 1940s on the sun-drenched cliffs of the Cornish coast, Malory Towers explores this nostalgic world of midnight feasts, lacrosse, pranks, and lasting friendships. For a contemporary audience, the show is both aspirational and inspirational, telling the story of universal experiences include shifting cliques, FOMO, bullying, crushes, peer pressure, and self-doubt. The girls keep an eye on each other and, like a family, are forever connected by their shared experiences.

EastEnders

Set in the East End of London, the show focuses on the tensions between love and family with stories ranging from hard-hitting social issues, to personal, human tragedies. And there's plenty of funny moments too.

Classic characters old and new across thousands of episodes have shared a drink in The Queen Vic, shed tears of despair or joy, sat on Arthur's bench in the Square... and at some point or other they probably crossed paths with Ian Beale.
