Season 1
Episodes

Episode 1
In the first edition, a 34-year-old man is brought in after having punched his arm through a pub window. Matron Kat Henry deals with a flirtatious patient who has cut his head after a night out on the town and is determined to leave the hospital without treatment.

Episode 2
A 41-year-old patient is escorted off the premises of Hull Royal Infirmary after verbally abusing a receptionist in the waiting room, but is allowed back into the hospital to have his hand treated after calming down. In resus, Dr Jeremy Osman and a full trauma team attempt to save the life of 18-year-old Jack, who has severe injuries after falling off his scooter at high speed.

Episode 3
A man who fell through a window has a phobia of needles, which leads him to refuse any kind of pain relief and even attempt to discharge himself before his injuries are treated. An aggressive patient is brought in by four police officers after smashing up his mother's home, and has to undergo a toxicology test. Dr Audrey Fox tries to save the life of a patient who has overdosed, and a woman suffers a head injury after slipping on a slice of pizza her husband had left on the floor for their dog to eat.

Episode 4
The hospital security team is called to reception after a suspected drug user is found passed out on the floor, while ex-factory worker Claude is determined to discharge himself after a bang on the head. Sixty-eight-year-old former fire fighter Stephen is brought in after passing out at home, and blood tests reveal that he has sepsis, an infection that causes more deaths than cancer.

Episode 5
Medical staff are faced with an aggressive patient who was bought in by police after being pushed down a flight of concrete stairs, and is shouting and swearing. Doctors are concerned that his behaviour could be as a result of a serious head injury. Doctor Andrew administers morphine to help a woman in agony, but the medics grow worried when her screams turn to silence.

Episode 6
A young man has to be restrained by police officers and security personnel in the ambulance bay after shouting and swearing at medical staff.
