Sarah Bailey has recently split up with her husband Ben, and trying to remain a good mother to her children Amber and Eamon. When Amber goes inexplicably missing she reverts back to old patterns as Ben once again becomes becomes the family leader.

Maeve Dunne is a former gossip columnist and a jaded socialite who has recently profited from her friendship with Sarah Bailey. When she is contacted by a prisoner claiming to have new information about Amber, she sees an opportunity to redeem herself.
