A van collides with an articulated lorry on the M6 in Wolverhampton, and paramedics fear the driver's abdominal pain and low blood pressure may be a sign of internal bleeding.
Episode 7
A mother calls 999 to say her three-year-old child has stopped breathing. As the family lives in a rural location close to the Welsh border, the Midlands Air Ambulance is required.

A crash leaves an 18-year-old with a broken thigh bone; a man in his thirties suffers a heart attack; an elderly man is found at the bottom of the stairs.

A man is trapped in his car after a major accident; an elderly man falls off his roof; a cyclist needs urgent care after a collision with a car.

A critical care practitioner is dispatched to a double stabbing at a block of flats in Birmingham, and must prioritise which of the victims needs to be treated first.

Midlands Air Ambulance and the critical care team are sent to save a tree surgeon who has impaled himself after falling 12 feet onto metal railings, possibly paralysing himself.

A car wash employee is stabbed during an argument, a builder falls 12 feet onto concrete from the roof of a farm building, and a six-year-old is hit by a car while leaving school.

A man is stabbed several times at a residential address after getting into an argument, and critical care paramedics are called to an 11-year-old boy who has been hit by a van.

A workplace accident leaves a man with a laceration exposing his rib cage, and the critical care team respond to reports of a group of women being attacked with machetes.
Episode 15
An HGV crashes into a railway bridge on the M6 motorway. With reports of a high-speed collision, the Midlands Air Ambulance is scrambled from RAF Cosford.
Episode 16
In this episode, a man is fighting for his life after a cardiac arrest. Labourer Aaron was attacked outside his home, and the 32-year-old has been stabbed in the neck and abdomen. A gunman is reported to be on the loose at a crowded house party. With reports of at least one person dead, Dr Richard Fawcett and critical care paramedic Dan Fletcher are dispatched. When 12-year-old Benjamin was cycling home from school, he collided with a car and was thrown against the windscreen.
Episode 17
In this episode, two men are injured after an explosion at a firm that specialises in the disposal of hazardous waste. Critical care paramedic Jack Lewis and paramedic Sam Collisson are called to Wolverhampton, where a fight has broken out in the street. In Birmingham, there are reports that a man has crashed his car and jumped off a motorway bridge after being pursued by police. Critical care paramedics Mike Andrews and Ryan Ferris are called to Birmingham, where a schoolgirl has been injured in a hit-andrun incident.
Episode 18
In this episode, Dr Iwan Davies and paramedic Peter Bowles are called to Halesowen, where a man is reported to have cut himself badly in a fall. Pensioner Roy hit his head on a cabinet, partly detaching his scalp. Paramedics have so far been unable to contain the bleeding. Dr Iwan applies more than 10 surgical staples to hold Roy's scalp in place and ensure he can be transported safely to hospital. In Birmingham, Dr Hadassa Ihlenfeldt and critical care paramedic Ash Mulindar are called to a tower block where a man has overdosed on heroin. He's unconscious and is barely breathing. The team use a bag to ventilate him and administer NARCAN, a medication that reverses the effects of the drug. Dr Jon Bingham and critical care paramedic Jack Lewis are dispatched to Stafford, where an elderly man is believed to have fallen down the stairs. Neighbours raised the alarm after his family was unable to reach him. Jack and Dr Jon arrive to find the patient in a critical condition, as 77-year-old retired warehouse manager Mick is believed to have spent the night at the bottom of the stairs. He's unconscious, and his breathing is weak. Jack and Dr Jon decide to anaesthetise Mick and insert a tube down his throat so that his breathing can be assisted with a ventilator. But just as they've completed the procedure, Mick goes into cardiac arrest. In Birmingham, the critical care team are called to an incident where a woman has given birth in the foyer of a block of flats. She had been on her way to hospital when she began having contractions. Thankfully, the birth appears to have gone smoothly.
Episode 19
In Wolverhampton, a machine operator has had a workplace accident, and his hand is crushed in an industrial press. The machine can't be released and, after 90 minutes, the man is still stuck. If he can't be freed, he could quickly develop life-threatening complications. While engineers and the fire service make last-ditch efforts to release the press, the critical care team prepare to amputate the man's limb in order to save him. One of the newest members of the critical care team, paramedic Ben Rean, is on shift with one of the most experienced — critical care practitioner Faye Pollock. They're called to a cemetery in Oldbury, where a man is reported to have collapsed while visiting a grave. They find 76-year-old Trevor in cardiac arrest and must perform life-saving treatment. With a combination of CPR and electric shocks with a defibrillator, they manage to restart Trevor's heart just as the ambulance arrives at hospital. In Birmingham, a terrified caller alerts 999 to a man being violently attacked in the street outside their house. Police firearms officers are dispatched to the scene as well as critical care paramedic Jack Lewis and Dr Andy Owen. The man is found to be suffering from horrific wounds, which are believed to have been inflicted with a machete: one arm is nearly detached and bleeding heavily. The man needs urgent surgery. Andy and Jack must get him to hospital safely before it's too late. The critical care team are called to a house fire in Aston. One man is reported to have escaped the fire, but has since disappeared — and fire crews fear more people could still be trapped inside. A search soon reveals the man seen leaving the premises is former nurse David. It transpires that he doesn't live in the property, but bravely entered to try to put the fire out. Dr Hadassah Ihlenfeldt assesses David to see whether he has any serious injuries.
Episode 20
Two air ambulance teams are called to a serious road accident on a busy dual carriageway. A car has crashed through the barriers and rolled into a field. While one team treats a passenger who has been thrown from the vehicle, Dr Jake Turner and Critical Care Paramedic Ryan James focus on the driver, who is still trapped inside and groaning in pain. After fire crews help extract the patient from the car, Dr Jake's initial inspection reveals a broken arm, while the patient's agitated behaviour points to a traumatic head injury. Dr Jake decides to anaesthetise the man in order to transport him to hospital safely without further aggravating his injuries. In Willenhall, the critical-care team are responding to reports of a man who's been stabbed in a supermarket car park. Fortysix- year-old lorry driver Lee had just finished shopping when he saw a group of men trying to break into a van. When he confronted them, he was attacked with a knife and hammer. Critical Care Paramedic Tom Waters and Doctor Richard Brown are called to assist an elderly lady who is struggling to breathe. Eighty-two-year-old Patricia's heart is beating at twice the normal rate and she's in danger of going into cardiac arrest. Tom suggests a technique called the Valsalve Manoeuvre to help slow Patricia's heart before she is transported to hospital. In Birmingham, the critical-care team are dispatched to a woman reported unconscious in a cemetery. A 26-year-old woman has broken her leg in several places after falling from a tree after a night out. Critical Care Paramedic Steven Mitchell and Paramedic Jorden Lane are dispatched to 14-year-old Kharrisma, who's been hit by a car while walking to school
