Alice went on the run but her girlfriend Petronella de Meath met a bad end. Centuries later in Youghal, Florence Newton is accused of bewitching Mary Longdon. Florence is put on trial for occult reasons and has since been known as the 'Witch of Youghal'.

Against the backdrop of beautiful Vancouver — with all its unique, charming, and even contradictory neighbourhoods and subcultures — the two will have to learn what it means to trust another person and maybe actually become partners.
