The Assassins
"World's First Terrorists": In 11th Century Persia, the country we know as Iran, Hasan i Sabbah, the leader of the Ismailis (Shia), creates the Assassins to fight in the age old conflict between Shiite and Sunni Muslims.

The Spartans
The Spartans are bred for war, trained from youth to withstand pain and survive the harshest conditions. Their greatest warriors form an elite special forces unit, the Spartan 300, which aims to defeat the Persians.

The Varangian Guard
The elite units of the Byzantine Army, the Varangian Guard, served as personal bodyguards to the Byzantine Emperors, and originated primarily from Scandinavia and England. Along with the prowess in combat they wielded highly effective weapons.

Aztec Eagle Warriors
Eagle Warriors, trained to capture and not kill, serve as the elite troops of the Aztec Empire, which dominated Central America from the 14th to 16th centuries.

The Sicarii
During the Roman occupation of the Holy Land in the first century, the Sicarii serve as hitmen, working toward the liberation of Judea and the unification of the country.

Book has gathered around him a host of lovable, damaged misfits whom he informally protects, cajoles, and mentors. His wife Trottie runs the wallpaper shop next door. She's a charismatic adventuress whom Book loves deeply but not physically, for they are in a 'lavender' marriage to help conceal Book's sexual orientation in a time when it was illegal to be gay.
Bookish marries post-war nostalgia with the reckless and life-affirming atmosphere of the times, creating a fast-paced and stylish detective drama.

Foundation
When revolutionary Dr. Hari Seldon predicts the impending fall of the Empire, he and a band of loyal followers venture to the far reaches of the galaxy to establish The Foundation in an attempt to rebuild and preserve the future of civilization. Enraged by Hari's claims, the ruling Cleons – a long line of emperor clones – fear their grasp on the galaxy may be weakening as they're forced to reckon with the potential reality of losing their legacy forever.
