Happy Birthday!
In the first episode we follow the precious moments straight after Mum gives birth. We will witness her bond with her baby and how these precious creatures learn about the importance of the senses. The cameras will discover the tricks Mums use for feeding her babies. Also the cameras capture the incredible ways these animals will go to protect their young. We will also meet some animals who have come up against the odds to be able to prove how amazing they could be as Mums.
Terrible Twos
In the second episode, we will see how Mums cope when their offspring grows in a toddler. We will learn how play time makes up for a huge part of a young animal's life and Mum has to be able to to keep up with her young bundle of fun. The cameras capture the tactics for tackling tantrums and handling bullies, and her methods for childcare are ingenious.
Home Schooled
In the series finale, we see how animal youngsters learn by copying their Mum. The youngsters have to pay close attention to their Mums because their skills will help them to be able to stay alive in the wild. The cameras capture how Mum will teach the offspring the importance of manners and good personal hygiene. Also we discover how Mum will pass on her vital tricks for finding food - above and below ground. Elsewhere we meet a group of surrogate Mums who provide a service in preserving the future of their species.
