In this fascinating fifth series we cover the huge range of art treasures which go under the hammer every year in London, New York and Paris. Buyers queue in Paris to get their hands on some 20th-century design. Bidders also flock to a rare antiquities auction in London and an Aston Martin DB5 goes up for sale.

Swedish art sells for record prices in Stockholm. A sale of works by Kees van Dongen shows Normandy's resorts 100 years ago and buyers flock to Sussex for oriental art.
