Kelly travels to Washington to meet Brandon and they spend a romantic day together, getting away from Clare and Lucinda before ending up in bed. Donna catches David in a compromising position with Ariel and breaks up with him. Steve continues to clash with Sears over Celeste's affections. Meanwhile, Andrea and Jesse experience the joys and fears of parenthood for their premature daughter. Jim is furious when Dylan decides to finance Kevin's chemical company all by himself and fires him as a client. The day after, Dylan gives Kevin full power-of-attorney control over his money. However, Jim's original suspicions turn out to be entirely correct; as Suzanne and Kevin really are con artists who have been plotting to steal Dylan's inheritance money and flee to Brazil with it for months. Erica doesn't want to go to Brazil and leaves a note for Dylan in an airport bathroom stall. Brenda tells Dylan she still loves him and won't be gone forever. They sleep together one last time before she leaves for London..
