King Lee Tae is a puppet under the thumb of Park Gyewon. He reminisces the dead crown princess.
Episode 2
Jung confesses her love, but Tae can't reciprocate. Park Gyewon tries to make his niece the queen.
Episode 3
Tae, betrothed to another, worries over Jung. Gyewon realizes Jung is Tae's love and goes after her.
Episode 4
Gyewon makes Jung a candidate for Queen under his niece's name. Tae is uneasy about her disappearance.
Episode 5
When the aunt of the real Aok exposes that Jeong is not Park Gyewon's niece, Jeong is put in danger.
Episode 6
Once Jeong finds out Tae actually cares for her, she decides to flee the palace during a banquet.
Episode 7
Jeong tries to advance the selection of the Queen, while public opinion urges Tae to make a decision.
Episode 8
Now exposed, Jeong threatens Gyewon to free the crafters. Meanwhile, Tae spends a night with Yeonhee.

Jeong and Tae finally realise their feelings for each other. However, Jeong finds out the truth behind the assassination of Queen Inyoung.

Gye Won nominates Jeong for queen. Jeong and Tae travel in disguise. Meanwhile, Yeon Hee tries to expose Jeong's fake identity.
Episode 11
The Queen Mother is in danger as Jeong tries to expose her. The situation changes when the entire palace gets shocked with some news.
Episode 12
As regency by the Queen Mother becomes imminent, Jeong attempts to hide Tae in an isolated palace, but the Queen Mother catches wind and stops her.
Episode 13
While Gyewon grows suspicious, Tae tries to get Jeong out of the palace. Jeong goes to meet the Queen Mother to save Ttonggeum.
Episode 14
Tae withholds the truth from the enraged Jeong, who is bent on finding the mastermind behind the Queen Mother. Gyewon helps Tae dethrone the Queen Mother. Outraged, the Queen Mother mobilizes the armies all around the country after realizing she is tricked by Tae.
Episode 15
Jeong is furious after finding out that the regency by the Queen Mother was Tae's plan. She worries that Tae's growing obsession with the throne will wreak havoc. Tae continues with his plan to destroy Park Gyewon and the Queen Mother.
Episode 16
Tae gives Jeong the cold shoulder, as he is under the impression that she has become his enemy. Jeong wants Tae to accept her as his servant, but it is not easy for him. Meanwhile, the Queen Mother gives him a hard time over his disrespect.
