Jessie Cave and judges Sadie Clayton and Ricky Martin search for Britain's Best Young Artist.
Today, three of our 27 young artists enter the art studio to create a fantastical surreal collage that must include themselves.
For their inspiration day, the artists head to Blackpool, where Ricky teaches them a cool collage technique at the top of the tower, before they head to the theme park to take photos for their final masterpiece. The artists then return to the art studio to create their artworks in the time given. But who will Ricky and Sadie pick to go through to the first semi-final? And will that person become Britain's Best Young Artist?
Animal Art
Three young artists must create a piece of animal art that shows a horse in motion.
For their inspiration day, the artists head to the stables to ride horses. Ricky shows them some tips on how to draw horses in motion, and then they head to a beach to take photos of them galloping on the sand.
They then return to the art studio to create their artworks in the given time. But who will Ricky and Sadie pick to go through to the first semi-final? And will that person become Britain's Best Young Artist?
Still Life
It's the still life round, and three artists must create a food-based masterpiece.
For their inspiration day, they visit a studio that specialises in creating beautiful pictures of food, learning about the importance of composition, perspective and lighting when capturing still life.
They then return to the art studio to create their artworks in the time given. But who will Ricky and Sadie pick to go through to the first semi-final? And will that person become Britain's Best Young Artist?
Semi-Final 1: Tilly
In the first of the semi-finals, the three artists have to create a masterpiece inspired by Newcastle for celebrity commissioner Tilly Lockey.
In order to get a unique view of the city, they visit Tilly's hometown of Newcastle for a helicopter ride, before returning to the art studio to create their artworks in the given time. But who will Ricky and Sadie pick to go through to the final? And will that person become Britain's Best Young Artist?
Botanical
Jessie Cave, Sadie Clayton and Ricky Martin search for Britain's Best Young Artist.
It's the botanical round, and the three artists have to create a piece of art that perfectly captures the beauty of nature. To help them do so, Ricky takes them beekeeping and shows them some wet-and-dry watercolour techniques they can use to add detail to their work.
They then return to the art studio to create their artworks in the given time. But who will Ricky and Sadie pick to go through to the next semi-final?
Landscape
Jessie Cave, Sadie Clayton and Ricky Martin search for Britain's Best Young Artist.
The three artists enter the studio to create classic landscapes inspired by the legendary JMW Turner.
To help them, Ricky takes the artists out on the water to learn how to capture the movement and emotion of the sea.
They then return to the art studio to create their artworks in the given time. But who will Ricky and Sadie pick to go through to the second semi-final?
Cartoon
Jessie Cave, Sadie Clayton and Ricky Martin continue their search for Britain's Best Young Artist.
It's the cartoon round, and the three artists must create their own original cartoon that perfectly tells a story. To get their creativity flowing, Ricky takes them to meet two cartoon artists at a legendary comic, who teach them how to create perfect storyboards that tell a story.
They then return to the art studio to create their artworks in the given time. But who will Ricky and Sadie pick to go through to the second semi-final?
Semi-Final 2: Riyadh
Jessie Cave, Sadie Clayton and Ricky Martin search for Britain's Best Young Artist.
It's the second semi-final, and the artists must create an aviation masterpiece for presenter Riyadh Khalaf. They are challenged to create a masterpiece inspired by Riyadh's passion for aviation and capture the happy memories of times he spent plane-spotting with his dad.
They then return to the art studio to create their artworks in the given time. But who will Ricky and Sadie pick to go through to the final?
Fan Art
Jessie Cave, Sadie Clayton and Ricky Martin go in search of Britain's Best Young Artist. Competing to make it through to the third semi-final, the three artists must create fan art masterpieces.
To inspire them, Ricky takes them to meet an artist who has created fan art for some of the world's most famous films. They then take on some parkour to perfect the action poses for their final masterpiece.
The artists then head back to the art studio to create their artworks in the allotted time. But who will Ricky and Sadie pick to go through to the third semi-final?
Portrait
Jessie Cave, Sadie Clayton and Ricky Martin go in search of Britain's Best Young Artist. In this episode, the three artists take on the challenge of creating the perfect portrait.
Following Ricky's masterclass on how to capture emotion on canvas, the artists are tasked with creating an original portrait of someone they are close to.
But with only a short time to complete it, will they be able to create the perfect portrait under pressure?
Modern Art
Jessie Cave, Sadie Clayton and Ricky Martin go in search of Britain's Best Young Artist. Competing for the final semi-final place, the artists turn their hand to modern art.
They learn about cubism at a scrapyard in Manchester, under the guidance of Ricky, before making their own cubism masterpiece back at the art studio

Semi-Final 3: Dr Ronx
Jessie Cave, Sadie Clayton and Ricky Martin search for Britain's Best Young Artist.
It's the third and last semi-final, and the three artists must create a piece for our celebrity commissioner, Dr Ronx. For their masterpiece, they must make a work of art based on the theme of community. But first, they pay a visit to Ronx's hometown of London, where they help out at a community centre and learn more about their commissioner.
They then return to the art studio to create their artworks. But who will Ricky and Sadie pick to go through to the final?
