O Peso da Herança
Ubaldo, an ex-military who now works on a bank in São Paulo, heads northeast after inheriting lands from the biological father he never knew - a famous cangaceiro. He's persuasive enough that the gang agrees to his bargain, as long as he's able to prove his point.

Promessa é Dívida
With an injured Jeremias, the gang improvises an escape and seeks shelter at a farmer's home. Dinorah fights against one of the bandits after he attack the farmer's teenage daughter. To save Dinorah's life, Sabiá sends her off to help Ubaldo keep his promise, after which she'll be able to enact her revenge. Ubaldo will have to fight his own sister if he wishes to survive.

O Meu Nome é Ubaldo Vaqueiro
As the gang prepares for the next heist, Ubaldo reconnects with an old childhood friend, Leinneane, whose husband is running for mayor. Tensions rise among the bandits when the next robbery almost costs them their lives. Ubaldo rebels against the gang's amateurism and wins a fight against Ameaço. From now on, if they want to make real money, they'll have to do it his way: no deaths allowed.

O Preço da Herança
While Ubaldo works to professionalize the gang, Dinorah makes a bid of 1 million reais to save their properties from being auctioned off by the bank. They've won, but now they'll need more money and prepare for the next heist. Dilvania welcomes the families that lost their homes in the auction to live on their land, creating a commune and inspiring political hatred.

Viver é Perigoso
After a successful heist, Ubaldo brings his recently recovered father Ernesto from São Paulo to Cratará. Meanwhile, Dinorah plans to take revenge on mayor Gastão for raping her as a child. Her boyfriend Lino helps her make an attack against Gastão, leaving him disfigured. Fleeing the scene of the crime, however, Lino gets shot.

Tudo é Política
Leinneane's husband and her family, political opponents to Gastão, are accused of being responsible for the crimes against him. Ernesto is worried about his son's dangerous new lifestyle and tries to persuade him out of it. But when a assassination attempt against Leinneane and himself takes place, Ubaldo realizes he's have to steal whatever it takes for her to beat the Maleiros at the election.

Do Meu Jeito
Ubaldo and Dinorah rob only half a bank to sustain Paulino Leite's campaign. To stop his son from a life of crime, Ernesto explodes Ubaldo's stores, destroying his weapons in process. Ubaldo and Leinneane suspect Gastão, and the would-be first lady uses money from her own campaign to finance the robbery that will bring her political victory.

O Crime Não Compensa
Ubaldo's gang is surprised by Ameaço and his acolytes, leading to a shootout that kills men on both sides. Gastão's fanatical followers set out to destroy the brotherhood. They set fire to the building with Ernesto still inside. A new, saintly Ubaldo rises from the ashes of this tragedy, a full blooded-cancageiro willingly capable of murder.
