Cardinal: Blackfly Season follows Detectives John Cardinal and Lise Delorme through an intricate investigation that exposes the seedy underbelly of picturesque Algonquin Bay, and lays bare the darker emotions of our detectives and those closest to them.

The new season picks up several months after the events of Cycle 1. It's early summer in Algonquin Bay and the blackflies aren't the only ones out for blood. Detectives Cardinal and Delorme find themselves with a strange case on their hands involving a young woman with a gunshot wound to the head. The investigation quickly takes a turn as Cardinal and Delorme uncover a series of disturbing, ritualistic killings that may be connected to their young victim. Cardinal must work to identify the young woman before her attacker strikes again.

Kevin
Detective John Cardinal and Detective Lise Delorme's investigation leads them to a local motorcycle gang as the number of victims continues to rise.

Terri
Cardinal and Delorme uncover Red's identity; a shooter looks to finish the job.

Toof
Cardinal and Delorme work with Terri; Delorme gets a major break in the case.

Northwind
Cardinal and Delorme connect evidence from a new crime to a ritualistic murder and Terri's memories help make a connection to a possible suspect.

El Brujo
Armed with Ray Northwind's real identity, Cardinal and Delorme race to find him before he kills Terri and her brother.
