Jacob makes peace with Omo when he honours her final plea and takes her home from the hospital, where she can pass away peacefully in the comfort of her own bed. Elsewhere, Archie confides in Will that it was Connie who made the mistake with a patient, not her. Later, Adam is rushed to Resus where Will treats him, and Sofie is riddled with guilt.

Iain gets embroiled in a tricky case with a familiar face, while Jade gets more than she bargained for with Marty.

Connie takes the opportunity to prove herself, but it ends in disaster. Duffy proves her worth in the ED but gets caught up in Connie's mistake, and after a tough day, Iain plucks up the courage to talk about how he's feeling and realises just how far he's come.

Reliving the events of the previous day and unable to escape her own guilt, Connie schemes to save herself by planting a seed of doubt in Duffy's mind. Meanwhile, New porter Rosa makes quite the first impression in the emergency department. As she goes beyond the requirements of her role and gets involved with the patients, David thinks she is overstepping the mark.

When David sees that Charlie is struggling to cope, he intervenes and tries to remind Charlie that he is not alone. Meanwhile, Marty's mother is rushed into the emergency department, and he and Jade have to keep up the pretence of being boyfriend and girlfriend in front of his family. Elsewhere, Connie continues to cover her tracks.

Connie is forced to choose between her addiction and her career, Duffy has a hard day and finds herself back in the ED, and Iain takes new emergency care assistant Siobhan under his wing.
