Episode 1
A small North-Norwegian village is stunned when Dr Meyer, a pensioned local doctor, is found shot dead by the salmon fishing river. The local police officers Filippa and Kaare take the case, but the former head of police insists on being involved.
Episode 2
Filippa gets sidelined in the police investigation by Kaare, but she starts looking into case tips on her own accord. Are there clues in the village idiot's ramblings, and is there a connection to the girl on the run in the woods?
Episode 3
Filippa's curiosity is triggered when the young girl turns up at the local hospital badly beaten. Who is she, and is there a connection between her and the late Dr Meyer?
Episode 4
Mira Hildonen, the prime suspect in the case, is on the run from the police when a new double killing shocks the village. The National Crime Investigation detectives take over the case, and sidelines both Filippa and Kaare.
Episode 5
Just as the National Crime Investigation has finished its technical investigation and is set to leave the village, detective Anders approaches Filippa. He wants answers to some unanswered questions.
Episode 6
Filippa is reined back onto the case. She digs into the village's wealthy sport-fishing community with detective Anders. When they discover that Irja has trodden this path already, Filippa decides to consult her.
Episode 7
The discovery of Mira Hildonen twists the case around yet again. What if Filippa and Anders have interpreted the signs wrong all along? Filippa has to dig deep into the dark past of the village.
Episode 8
Jan Fredriksen, the wealthy owner of the salmon river, is the next victim on the list. Desperately, Filippa tries to beat the perpetrator to it. Will she manage to save him?
