Tom Savini
This week, Charlie welcomes the one and only Tom Savini to the show. As a pioneering special makeup effects artist, he ushered in the "splatter" subgenre with his shockingly gory FX for George A. Romero's 1978 zombie masterpiece Dawn of the Dead (1978) and then kept breaking the rules throughout the 1980s with film like Friday the 13th (1980), Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984), Day of the Dead (1985) and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986). As an actor, he has appeared in Romero's vampire drama Martin (1976), as "Sex Machine" in Robert Rodriguez's From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) and as a vicious slaver in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained (2012). And that's just scratching the surface. Get ready for a full hour of Savini awesomeness.
Kane Hodder
This week, Charlie sits down with the "man behind the mask" Kane Hodder, the stuntman turned thespian whose greatest claim to freaky fame is playing iconic slasher Jason Voorhees in a handful of the latter FRIDAY THE 13th sequels. But there's more to Kane than meets the machete, as Charlie soon finds out.

This week, Charlie welcomes a dynamic duo that's been setting the AEW wrestling world on fire for years, and they're even a couple in real life. Best of all, they're both horror movie lovers and hardcore Full Moon fans. Cassandra Peterson (AKA Elvira) - Part 2
Last week's conversation with Cassandra Peterson was just so awesome and so packed with stuff that a single episode just couldn't contain it. We had to go big. So with that, in this second installment of our killer two-part chat, the Queen of Halloween and Charles Band talk about the early days of Elvira, her foray into filmdom and much, much more.
Roger Corman
This week, Charlie welcomes a man who almost single handedly invented independent genre cinema, the legendary Roger Corman. Corman first made waves via his work in the 1950s and '60s with American International Pictures, and later, with his own companies New World Pictures, Concorde, New Concorde and New Horizons. He's made over 200 films and distributed hundreds more and along the way has discovered and nurtured such major talents as Francis Ford Coppola, Jack Nicholson, Dick Miller, Joe Dante, Martin Scorsese, Jonathan Demme, James Cameron and many, many more. He's a force of nature that refuses to stop making movies his way and we couldn't be more thrilled to have him on.
Barbara Crampton
Charlie welcomes actress, producer and horror movie icon Barbara Crampton to the show. Barbara first found fame starring in early Full Moon films like Stuart Gordon's Re-Animator (1985) and From Beyond (1986) and would later appear in Puppet Master (1989), Castle Freak (1995) and more. She has also worked for Brian De Palma, Roger Corman, Adam Wingard and Rob Zombie while also finding fame as a daytime soap opera star. Recently, Barbara made a serious comeback as a bloodsucking housewife in the award winning comedy horror movie Jakob's Wife (2021) and she's got a number of awesome projects currently on the go. Get ready for another epic Freakshow chat.
Joe Bob Briggs - Part 1
In this first installment of an epic two-part chat, Charlie welcomes legendary film critic, author, writer, comedian, actor and tireless champion of all things weird, wild, wonderful and cinematically ridiculous, Joe Bob Briggs!
Joe Bob Briggs - Part 2
Last week's Freakshow guest was so awesome that we had to spread his gory gospel over two killer episodes. So with that, sit back, relax and get ready for the second installment of my epic chat with the one, the only Joe Bob Briggs.
John Waters
This week, Charlie welcomes one of the founding fathers of transgressive cinema; a man who broke all the rules and managed to magically make high art out of bad taste. His early films like Pink Flamingos (1972), Female Trouble (1974) and multiple maniacs secured him a rabid cult following of weirdos and his more mainstream efforts like Cry-Baby (1990) and Hairspray (1988) made him a household name. He's a writer, director, author, world traveler, comedian and oracle of Trash movie culture. He's the immortal John Waters and we're excited to have him on the Freakshow.
Joe Dante
This week's guest got his start - as so many other great talents did - working for Roger Corman during the heyday of New World Pictures, first with the spastic comedy Hollywood Boulevard (1976) and later with the ferocious killer fish classic Piranha (1978). He chased this early success with 1981's The Howling (1981), widely considered the greatest werewolf movie ever made. And then came Gremlins (1984) in 1984, the blockbuster film that almost single handedly spurred on the invention of the PG-13 rating. He's one of the greatest horror and weird fantasy directors in history, he's Joe Dante and we are honored to have him in the Freakshow.
Larry Karaszewski
This week, Charlie's guest is award-winning screenwriter Larry Karaszewski who, along with longtime writing partner Scott Alexander, co-penned such acclaimed pictures as Tim Burton's Ed Wood (1994) and Big Eyes (2014), Milos Forman's The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996) and Man on the Moon (1999), the Stephen King adaptation 1408 (2007) and Eddie Murphy's triumphant comeback picture Dolemite Is My Name (2019) among many others. Larry is also a dedicated film historian and preservationist who eats, sleeps and breathes movies. Don't miss this one.
William Lustig
This week, Charlie welcomes William Lustig - one of cult cinema's real deal heroes - to the Freakshow. As a director, Lustig made an instant splash in his early 20's helming the still shocking and controversial 1980 psychological slasher Maniac (1980), featuring gory effects by Tom Savini, and then continued evolving his craft with pictures like the MANIAC COP trilogy, the violent revenge thriller Vigilante (1982) and Relentless (1989). He also founded and still serves as the CEO of legendary home video label Blue Underground where he has spent decades rescuing and restoring some of the weirdest and coolest horror movies ever made.
Eli Roth
This week's guest is not just an accomplished writer, producer, director and actor, he's also a brand unto himself, a contemporary master of horror. Eli Roth's first feature film, Cabin Fever (2002) immediately established him as an auteur in the genre, a reputation solidified by the success of his merciless, blackly comic film Hostel (2005) and its even grislier sequel. Along the way, Eli has given us such savage films as the Italian cannibal film riff The Green Inferno (2013), the remake of Death Wish (2018) with Bruce Willis taking over for Charlie Bronson and even the family fantasy film The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018). As an actor, you know him from Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (2009), where played the nazi-clubbing "Bear Jew"; more recently he ushered his hit documentary series History of Horror (2018) to the small screen. Roth is a true multi-hyphenate and we're excited to have him on the Freakshow.
Rob Zombie - Part 1
In this special 2-part episode, the Freakshow welcomes the inimitable Rob Zombie, our first real deal rock star guest. Of course, the fact that Zombie is also one of the most singular horror film directors working today makes him that much more fascinating. He's a horror movie fan turned heavy metal God turned filmmaker who has given the world such cult classics as The Devil's Rejects (2005), The Lords of Salem (2012), the lean and mean remake of John Carpenter's Halloween (2007) and most recently, his psychedelic remount of the 60's TV staple The Munsters (2022). He never stops touring, he never stops creating and he never stops being true to his signature artistic style. Buckle in for this first installment of our epic chat.
Rob Zombie - Part 2
In this thrilling conclusion to our epic Rob Zombie interview, the king of all macabre media talks with Charlie about rock 'n' roll, classic horror movies, his hit riff on the immortal '60s TV sitcom The Munsters and much, much more. Batten down your hatches for a tsunami of cool in one of the wildest Freakshow episodes yet.
Ted Nicolaou
This week, Charlie welcomes a director, screenwriter, editor and producer who has been part of the Full Moon Family for over 40 years. Ted Nicolaou got his start in cinema as a sound recordist on one of the most iconic horror films of all time, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974). From there, he joined forces with Charlie working as an editor on the classic Tourist Trap (1979) and Ghoulies (1985) and later, as a director on the utterly insane TerrorVision (1986). In 1991 he helmed the first entry in the Subspecies (1991) franchise, the vampire film series that would define much of his career. Get ready for a wild episode with one of the most underrated horror helmers in history.
Mick Garris - Part 1
In this epic, two-part interview, Charlie talks to director, writer, producer and podcaster Mick Garris, the man behind such genre faves as Critters 2: The Main Course (1988), Psycho IV: The Beginning (1990) and Nightmare Cinema (2018) as well as the Stephen King classic Sleepwalkers (1992) and the epic TV adaptations of King's The Stand (1994) and The Shining (1980). In 2005, he created the acclaimed Masters of Horror (2005), an insanely ambitious TV series that amassed a staggering collection of talented directors like Stuart Gordon, Tobe Hooper and Dario Argento. Mick is a man of limitless talent and vision and a creator who has dedicated his life to strange cinema.
Mick Garris - Part 2
The conversation continues with Mick Garris, the man behind such genre faves as Critters 2: The Main Course (1988), Psycho IV: The Beginning (1990) and Nightmare Cinema (2018) as well as the Stephen King classic Sleepwalkers (1992) and the epic TV adaptations of King's The Stand (1994) and The Shining (1997).
Joe Lynch
This week, Charlie welcomes LA based filmmaker Joe Lynch to the show. Lynch started his career in rock videos, before making his directorial debut with Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007), the direct to video sequel to the Stan Winston horror classic. Among his storied credits are serving as co-creator (with fellow horror director Adam Green) of the TV show Holliston (2012), the horror/comedy omnibus Chillerama (2011), the Peter Dinklage/Steve Zahn film Knights of Badassdom (2013) and most recently, the acclaimed Mayhem (2017) starring Steven Yeun from The Walking Dead (2010) and TVs Creepshow (2019). Lynch is also a podcaster and esteemed horror culture personality and we're excited to have him on the show.
Joe Begos
This week, Charlie welcomes another buzz name in indie horror to the show: New England born writer, director Joe Begos! Joe first made a dent in the world of strange cinema with his 2013 sci-fi shocker ALMOST HUMAN and followed that with his critically acclaimed exploding head saga THE MIND'S EYE. Splatter-filled flicks like the punk rock vampire film BLISS and the epic survival shoot-em-up VFW starring DON'T BREATHE's Steven Lang and Fred "The Hammer" Williamson followed leading to his latest flick, the carnage filled Christmas slasher CHRISTMAS BLOODY CHRISTMAS, featuring a maniacal robotic department store Santa going on a bloody rampage.
Jim Wynorski
This week on the Freakshow is a newly minted member of the Full Moon family and one of the most important B movie directors in history: the one, the only Jim Wynorski, director of THE LOST EMPIRE, CHOPPING MALL, BIG BAD MAMA 2 and THE RETURN OF THE SWAMP THING as well as the upcoming KILLBOTS!
Darcy The Mail Girl Interviews Charles Band
This week, Charlie closes out 2022 with our pal Diana Prince, who joins Charlie to talk about horror movies and other macabre madness while also answering a bunch of bonkers fan questions. Get ready for a banger of a climax to a pretty awesome year one of Full Moon's Freakshow.

Wild Cards
Wild Cards follows the unlikely duo of a gruff, sardonic cop and a spirited, clever con woman. Ellis, a demoted detective, has unfortunately spent the last year on the maritime unit, while Max has been living a transient life elaborately scamming everyone she meets. But when Max gets arrested and ends up helping Ellis solve a local crime, the two are offered the opportunity to redeem themselves, with Ellis going back to detective and Max staying out of jail. The catch? They have to work together, with each using their unique skills to solve crimes. For Ellis, that means hard-boiled shoe leather police work; for Max, it means accents, schemes and generally befriending everyone in sight, while driving Ellis absolutely nuts. Against the backdrop of beautiful Vancouver — with all its unique, charming, and even contradictory neighbourhoods and subcultures — the two will have to learn what it means to trust another person and maybe actually become partners.
