A gorgeous lady who offers samples of diet products invites Howard over for an exercise session. Edna gets jealous and threatens Howard.

The grocery crew believes they have a genuine shot of winning a bowling competition and the cash that does with it until Murray injures his arm. Howard decides to use a ringer instead of girlfriend Edna causing hurt feelings.

Edna gets Marlene's new diamond ring stuck on her finger and her visiting mother thinks that she has become engaged.

A nearby market triggers a price war; Howard is smitten with a younger woman during Edna's vacation.

Howard is befuddled by Edna's new management technique.

Health food fanatics who are offended by Howard's commercial promoting a new snack food, and the product itself, terrorize the store's staff.

My Darling Serpentine
Howard gets too busy to buy Edna an anniversary gift and hands the job to Alf. He decides a hamster is an appropriate present which gets loose at the store. Marlene agrees to go to a school dance with Murray.

Edna's New Friend
Cultural events are on the top of Edna's list when she befriends a man who shares her interests. Christian gets a deal on beef but learns it's horse meat after customers start buying it.

Jack Be Numbskull
The thug that Marlene hires to discourage Jack Christian's advances inadvertently mistakes Howard for his target.

Sex Appeal
Howard is up for a promotion, with Mrs. Cobb's daughter Tiffany as the decision maker. Tiffany desires Howard, and his promotion depends on him returning her sexual advances.
