It's early summer - and horticulturalist Christine Walkden introduces us to her small but perfectly formed garden. She also makes an emotional return to an old friend's garden and comes to the aid of her 72-year-old neighbour Reg, who is having trouble with his plums.

Horticulturalist Christine Walkden makes an exciting discovery in her garden and shows her neighbour Louise, one of the "instant garden" generation, the joys of developing a garden over time.

Episode 3
The professional life of horticulturalist Christine Walkden suddenly moves up a gear as the work floods in. But there is still time for a barbecue with the neighbours and some good-natured rivalry.

Episode 4
Horticulturist Christine Walkden goes back to her roots as she makes an emotional return to
Lancashire, where her passion for gardening was nurtured on a tiny allotment. But things have changed a great deal since she last visited 20 years ago.

Episode 5
Christine prepares to lead a horticultural tour to China, leaving care of the garden to her neighbours.

Episode 6
As autumn falls Christine prepares the garden for winter and bets Reg that her tomatoes ripen indoors.

Beyond the Gates
Beyond the Gates is set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington D.C., and in one the most affluent African American counties in the United States. Here you'll find a posh gated community with winding tree-lined streets and luxurious mansions to call home. At the center of this community are the Duprees, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family that is the very definition of Black royalty. But behind these pristine walls and lush, manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered. And those that live outside these gates are watching closely. These are the places where our characters live, love, work and play. Those who have "made it" and those who haven't are all trying to navigate life … and some with more grace than others.
