Nearly a year after the accidental death of her daughter Camille, Laurence prepares to return to work. But a dramatic event shows that it is perhaps too soon for her.

Still shaken, Laurence struggles to recover on her own and refuses to ask for help. Above all she is obsessed by a strange noise she heard in the house. There seems to be something moving behind the walls, but what?

Tensions rise between Daniel and Laurence when the latter, as the noises intensify, becomes convinced they are caused by Camille's presence in the house.

Laurence now has no doubt about it, Camille is trying to talk to her. Ready to do whatever it takes to communicate with her daughter, she does something that Daniel sees as a betrayal.

Laurence is still waiting for a sign from Camille. Daniel finally discovers what she has been hiding from him and explodes. Exasperated, he finally pronounces the words he's been holding back for too long.

Alone, Laurence is finding it hard to forget Daniel's words, particularly as they've awakened in her the ghost of a guilty secret. Only her daughter's spirit can appease her anguish... But at what price?

Laurence finally comes face to face with Camille, but is unable to comfort the young ghost. She makes ever greater efforts to care for her daughter, but nothing seems to work.
