Marital Problems
Joe's marriage is in crisis. Melanie's boyfriend has a big surprise for her. The hospital denies all knowledge of Sheila's husband.

On the Mobile
Policemen Phil and Nige have a near-death experience. Jean's hopes of going to Crete are dashed. The temporary traffic lights are still troubling Eddie. Duffy and Joe help Liam come clean, and there's a big surprise in store as Tommy and Eddie witness Liam's talent.

Drugs Bust
Tension mounts as the winner of the football card is announced. Duffy and Joe advise Liam on how to win back a lost love. Jean is hoping desperately that she'll be able to go to Crete.

Missing Maltesers
It is Joan and Eddie's anniversary and they plan to celebrate in style at The Grapes with a fish supper for later. Eddie's mother-in-law Nellie is causing him concern so Tommy offers the sympathetic advice of putting her in a home. Duffy involves Joe in an extramarital deception.

Breakfast
It is the trip out to York races and the Big Boys Beano is ready for take-off. Melanie finally gets to meet her real dad as Ken waits nervously for her return. The pub goes into uproar as Tommy buys a round and the mystery over who is putting fag-ends in the urinals is finally solved.
