Rubén intenta utilizar a Paula como moneda de cambio para salir del cerco militar, pero Camilo le golpea y le deja inconsciente y la pequeña consigue escapar. Cuando Marcos encuentra a su hermana en medio del bosque, Paula se encuentra en estado de shock, incapaz de articular palabra. Cuando por fin recupera el habla, le cuenta algo que puede cambiarlo todo. Mientras tanto, a pocos metros de allí, Héctor ha conseguido por fin escapar del lugar donde permanecía atrapado desde el derrumbe de los pasadizos. El reencuentro con su familia está cada vez más cerca. Nadie sospecha que la muerte de Roque no haya sido un suicidio. Nadie excepto Julia, que no puede quitarse de la cabeza su última conversación con Roque, que decía haber descubierto algo importante. ¿Y si fuera cierto? ¿Y si alguien le mató por descubrir lo que no debía? Obsesionada, no se da cuenta de que Iván, que no se tomó la última dosis, está agonizando. Si la máquina no está lista en unas horas, será el siguiente en morir. Fermín ha conseguido rescatar a Max y traerlo de vuelta al internado, pero Rebeca ha sido capturada por los militares y no han conseguido el uranio, sin el cual Max no podrá conseguir que la máquina funcione. Impotente y abatido por haber dejado atrás a Rebeca, Fermín está a punto de rendirse, pero María se lo impide: todos están en sus manos, y ella está segura de que Fermín conseguirá salvarles a todos. Lo que no saben es que el Teniente ha recibido la orden de matar a Max antes de que construya la máquina. Y, lo que es más sorprendente, que Martín está dispuesto a pactar con Hugo para salvar a Rebeca. Paula acaba de saber por Rubén que todos ellos van a morir hoy mismo. Convencida de que es el último día en la vida de Evelyn, decide cumplir su último deseo: Darle un beso a Lucas.
