Episode 2
Sathnam Sanghera explains how misunderstanding Imperial history can lead to a confusion of British national identity, fuelling modern-day political conflicts. Sathnam travels back to his hometown of Wolverhampton to meet the headmaster of his grammar school and a new generation of pupils eager to learn the history of Empire that Sathnam wishes he was taught.
