Working through the night with medics, they save and treat thousands of injured Afghans and American Marines and as they pull back from the Baron Hotel, they close the gate on hundreds of vulnerable civilians. Ultimately, the 20-year war comes to a tragic and unsatisfying end as the RAF turn to airlifting their own forces out of the country.
