Eleanor, that Falco was sheltering some time back in his life. She is determined to understand who handled their past and why. Falco just can not both investigate and protect. The choice of Eleanor will then put them both in danger. Meanwhile, a police officer nearing retirement was abducted and her abductor promises to judge him. A race against time begins. Falco and Romain discover that the person who holds the cop called Louis. He has 20 years and militates against the police for years, via the Internet, disclosing its burrs. If it has turned a corner in violence is that her best friend, Manon, was herself a victim of police violence ... but the culprits have been tried, aggrieved by justice, she commits suicide. Falco Knight and therefore will try to stop a man determined to take the law itself. Only the young man ignores actually the truth more complicated than that.

The second season, subtitled Infamy, bears no relation to the book or first season and is mostly set in an American-run Japanese internment camp during World War II.
