Season 2Episode 1030 minjuin 9, 2015
Cooking for the Outdoors

In this programme, Mairi is in Islay, South Uist, Edinburgh and Skye, gathering tasty recipes for alfresco eating. Her cooks are on hand with suggestions that will make any tummy rumble, from smoky lime-marinated fajita steaks to juicy pork and apple burgers.

But picnics and barbeques aren't just about meat and grilling. The little extras on the side make the occasion. Mairi is treated to a tasty butternut squash and almond chutney, ideal for slathering on biscuits and cheese or to accompany burgers in buns. And for something sweet, a skilled Islay baker shows Mairi the perfect picnic baking - mini muffins with a zesty marmalade filling.
