Arit Anderson and Harry and David Rich help Bath resident Mina, who wants to turn her characterless, overgrown lawn into a Persian paradise. They have a budget of £2,700 to create something Mina will be proud of, and which is evocative of her childhood in the Middle East, including colourful and aromatic planting, stunning tiles, fruit trees and an Iranian-inspired water feature.
Liverpool
Charlie Dimmock and Lee Burkhill visit Liverpool couple Tony and Nayna, who love being outdoors but find their new-build garden uninspiring and have run out of ideas to revitalise it. The pair hope that with Charlie and Lee's expertise and £4,500 budget they can secure a Caribbean theme with a modern twist, while Tony in particular dreams of a centre-piece water feature.
Bracknell
Adam and Frederique from Bracknell have a front garden they describe as a mess. They used to grow their own produce, but the weeds have taken over and it has dangerous steps for their two boys. Lionel and Paulette's garden in Droitwich Spa is an unusual shape, meaning it's heavily overlooked, and the couple find it uninspiring. Philip and Lorraine in Stockport have had their garden since 1987 – and it looks like it! Despite doing up their house, their garden remains untouched. With a budget of £4,750, they want to turn this unloved and forgotten space into a stately garden, with secret passageways, big urns, a tiled patio and lots of posh planting. Charlie Dimmock and the Rich brothers try to come up with designs that would not look out of place in a stately home. But who will come out on top?
Oxford
Gillian and Mark are retired teachers who have moved to their forever home, a Victorian house in Oxford. But the garden is causing problems: a patio covered with matting and a broken pathway are just some of the issues, not to mention it's boring. They want a Victorian cottage garden in keeping with the house and a new patio. The garden must be wildlife friendly with a quiet place for them to do their crosswords. Can Charlie and the Rich brothers deliver all this for just £3,500?
Wantage
Charlie Dimmock takes on the Rich brothers to design a contemporary garden with a nod to Zimbabwe. Grace lives with her mum Agnes in a new build in Wantage. They have no clue what to do with the garden, but they want it to be more interesting than the empty plot it currently is. Having grown up in Zimbabwe, Grace would like to see a nod to that in the design, with exotic planting and a Victoria Falls-inspired water feature. Ellesmere Port
In Ellesmere Port, the back of James's house looks more like a building site than a garden. He is desperate for a garden makeover and wants a Cornish coastal haven inspired by coastal trips to the seaside when he was a kid. It also needs to be safe space for his dog Boosh and two nieces who are regular visitors. Working with a budget of £4,500, designers Charlie Dimmock and Lee Burkhill go head to head to produce a design that will fulfil James's brief and win him over.

Ben, Shelley and their kids Eva and Maya live in Wing in Buckinghamshire. Their new-build garden is sloped, impractical and has a tiny patio. They need urgent help. Rajeena and Hardeep have moved to their dream house in Great Glen with its incredible views. Kevin spent over two years renovating his Georgian cottage in Manchester from the foundations up, but in the process his garden became a building site, and he lost all inspiration and focus. The garden is tired, sloped and rarely used. Kevin now wants a cool, modern entertainment space with plenty of planting, but it must reflect his beautiful period home. Charlie Dimmock and Lee Burkhill have a budget of £4,000 to transform this space, fusing the contemporary with the historical.
Alton
Charlie Dimmock and Arit Anderson are in Alton to create a garden for entertaining and exercising. Fitness fanatic Carrie wants a ‘gin and gym' garden, transforming what is currently a mass of paving and fake grass into a space where she can feel proud to entertain friends, as well as providing an all-weather area for exercise. Michael and Gloria live in Deeside but spent many years in Africa. They want their bland, overlooked garden to be transformed into an African paradise, full of tropical planting. Gloria dreams of a tranquil water feature, and they would like a covered pergola for entertaining. But most importantly, this garden needs to be wheelchair friendly for their son Christopher, who loves spending time in it. Billy lives in Barnet in a period Victorian house that he loves, but he describes his garden as boring, a blank canvas with a dated broken patio. Billy dreams of a new space that fuses a Victorian cottage garden with an Amazonian twist, something that can transports him to hotter climes without having to leave Barnet.
