George tackles a cottage conundrum, the previous owner has removed all the upstairs walls. He plans to create two more bedrooms and add a bit of privacy. Plus, he meets a couple who have plans to turn their loft into a cinema room.
Faversham and Claverdon
George heads to Kent to help Pete and Amelie make their huge 16 room Victorian house fit for modern life, with plans to make a playroom and a library. Amelie makes a trip to Shropshire to make her own encaustic tiles in one of the last remaining factories in the country to use traditional methods. Plus, George revisits Michele in Warwickshire to see how she is getting on remodelling her adjoining Grade II listed cottages.
Weston-super-Mare
In Weston-super-Mare, George meets some novice DIY renovators who are planning to completely transform a dilapidated Georgian-style crescent house, poorly sub-divided into four flats in the 1980s. With a budget of just £40,000, no building experience and a plan to live onsite with two young children, the stakes could not be higher for this family.
