Julie runs into her ex-boyfriend, Paul, at the lodge. She decides to tell Michael about him, but is convinced by Mary Beth to keep quiet. After finding out who Paul is on their own, Michael and Vince befriend him and try to keep him busy so that he can't chase after Julie.
