Helgoland, 2039: A child is born. Because the island is sealed off from the outside world due to a pandemic, no more than 513 residents are tolerated. Who has to die?

Auf Wiedersehen
Linus, son of island doctor Marek, volunteers for a dangerous mission on the mainland. Meanwhile, an alarm goes off in the water treatment plant.

Marmor, Stein und Eisen bricht
After returning from the mainland, a resident succumbs to the virus, whereupon island boss Beatrice looks for the culprit. Marek is researching an antidote because Linus is also infected.

Da Da Da
Marek realizes that the lab ship Linus was talking about is their only hope. On land, Hendrik, Beatrice's outcast son, teams up with the gang boss "the Count".

Stark sein
Islander Ewelike's wife, who lives on the mainland, is applying for the island, but she has a competitor, medical student Daniela. Linus' condition worsens.

Ein Lied zieht in die Welt hinaus
Ewelike is seriously accused by Beatrice, Marek does not contradict her. He then tells his terminally ill son how it all began and also how Beatrice came to power.

While a squad is forming on the mainland to head for the island, Marek wants to make a confession on the island. But Daniela asks him to wait another two hours.
