While things are getting even tougher for the new recruits, they are entering the next level of training in which the pressure is massively turned up. The Household Cavalry's 280 horses descend on a Norfolk beach as the regiment heads off for its spectacular annual summer camp. For outgoing Colonel, James Gaselee, it's a time to reflect on his time commanding the regiment.
After weeks of drop-outs, the remaining new recruits need to pass the final, and hardest, inspection if they are to make it as fully fledged cavalrymen.
We go behind the scenes as the regiment's vet shows how she deals with the challenge of looking after the horses, who famously work as hard as the soldiers, before the best of the Cavalry's troopers are pushed to the limit to compete for the chance of promotion.
