The Escape, Pt. 1
6 year old Hetty Feather and her little brother, Gideon are forced to leave their "borrowed" family and return to the Foundling Hospital which the fearsome Matron rules with an iron fist. When Hetty meets up with Mathias and the gang from the boys' wing they hatch a high risk plan to escape the hospital for good. Can they scale the walls in search of freedom or will the She-Mob and Matron catch and punish them?

The Escape, Pt. 2
With Hetty framed by Sheila and locked up by Matron it looks like Hetty won't get the escape letter to Matthias in time for their midnight breakout. But maybe she can break into the boys wing and finally meet Gideon and put the escape plans in motion.

The Tower
It's Gideon's borrowed-birthday but how can Hetty celebrate with her brother when girls are not even allowed to mix with the boys? With a plan to scale through the rafters and into the towers can the two wings secretly come together without Matron finding out, and not to mention the dangers of getting across the roof at night?

Jack in the Box
Mathias is back and a shadow of his former fearless self. With the Hospital on lock down in order to mass produce toys supposedly earmarked for charity, children start falling ill and Gideon tries to enlist Mathias' help to get to the bottom of Matron's toy making venture.

Sisters
Hetty's feisty little borrowed-sister, Eliza, arrives at the hospital and like Hetty clashes with Matron. When Matron's sister, Annie arrives to deliver bad news about their dying mother, she also tries helping Eliza and Hetty in their battles with Matron. But can Annie help her own sister make amends with their frail mother before it's too late?

Strike
Kindly Nurse Wintson is sacked by Matron. So Hetty convinces the children to go on strike. Will Matron capitulate before the choir debut their new anthem in order to win a £100 donation for the school's organ? Or will Hetty lose support and be crushed by Matron?

Raising the Flag
The boys compete in a series of grueling army tests in order to win a place out of the Foundling Hospital and into the big wide world as a drummer boy in the army. With Vince determined to beat his main rival Mathias, a bitter battle is set to turn nasty. Meanwhile, Hetty and Sheila are forced to work together in the Infirmary as nurses tending to a sickly boy, Charlie. But will their rivalry get in the way of looking after the ailing patient?

Foundling Reclaimed
A distraught couple have come to reclaim their child, but which Foundling could it be? With Hetty determined to find out, someone could be leaving with the parents for good. But will Matron allow the Foundling to be reclaimed without a fight? Meanwhile, Gideon plans on escaping in search of his parents, but Vince and Judd have other plans.

Open Day, Pt. 1
It's open day at the Foundling Hospital, and just when Hetty sees Madame Adeline there, thinking she could be her real mother, Matron tasks Hetty with looking after Lord Upton's snooty daughter, Charlotte. When it transpires that Matron has plans to send Hetty to India as Charlotte's maid, Hetty's days as a Foundling could be coming to an end. And will she ever find her mother again?

Open Day, Pt. 2
With Hetty finally escaped from the Hospital in search of Madam Adeline, Matron is on the warpath and thinks she knows where to find the escaped girl. In the meantime, the gang come together to try and help expose Matron's true intentions of Hetty's planned trip to India. But can they get to the truth in time and will Cranbourne believe them?
