Hotel Mondial - Season 2

A few weeks before the "Mondial" is finally taken over by a casino operator, Eva unexpectedly returns to her post. She wants to save the hotel – whatever the cost! For this she needs her team. But how does she get the staff, who bitterly disappointed her, back on her side? She has to put up with harsh criticism from food chef Uli. This is even more complicated because their feelings for each other are still tugging at both of them.

Thomas Tilsen feels like a man – and a woman. His wife Gabi doesn't want to notice anything, so he only lives out his identity in the "Mondial". Until Gabi suddenly stands in front of him. And she is in the company of another man. Because although she suspects that Thomas is hiding something from her, her suspicions are completely wrong. Can Thomas resolve the dilemma without jeopardizing his marriage?

Poker player Jackie Nadolny makes Raik sweat - and not just because of her suspicious interaction with David Brandt. She seems to have a genuine interest in Raik. When Eva urges Raik to use Jackie's interest in him to find out more about Brandt, Raik is faced with a difficult decision: maintain principles or give in to his own interests? And what about his heart?

Lara's sister Vera organizes a charity event at the "Mondial". However, this threatens to be a failure as more and more of the participants' personal belongings disappear. The event is inconvenient for Maria because her second job means she doesn't have time to work overtime at the hotel. But she has no choice; she has to solve the alleged theft because her closest colleagues are the suspects.

Shock in the "Mondial": Maria collapses under the ongoing double burden of multiple jobs and private problems. Meanwhile, Eva is running out of time. The "Mondial" is about to be handed over to casino operator David Brandt, and there is little hope of saving the hotel. Does she have to give up in the end? While the team is already in the apocalyptic mood, Raik can no longer wait until a turnaround occurs. In desperation, he takes a dangerous step and risks everything to finally get rid of Brandt. After weeks of distrust, Jeremy now believes he is certain that Uli feels nothing for Eva - until his wife makes a confession to him that calls their entire marriage into question...

Eva and Uli can no longer suppress their feelings and want to savor their love. But Uli first negotiates the conditions for this with her husband Jeremy. Meanwhile, Eva is negotiating with the board of the hotel group about the future of the "Mondial". The situation seems hopeless. While the team nervously waits for a decision, Lara experiences a day where everything goes wrong for her. She arrives late and misses the chance to go into the trial as an assistant at Eva's side. In her desperation she finally makes a fatal decision. Eva also has to make a decision, because receiving the "Mondial" depends on whether Eva is willing to accept an immoral offer. Paolo's attention that day is on Nicole Meunier, who is hiding in the hotel. He thinks she's strange and paranoid - until he discovers her secret and agrees to help her.

Until now, Linh was sure that she could correctly assess each guest in advance in order to respond to their needs - until she met the Schneider couple in the "Mondial". Just as Raik is considering her for a promotion, Mr. Schneider pushes the otherwise distant Linh to the limits of her professionalism with his contradictory signals. Sometimes the anger has to come out - despite the consequences. The "Mondial" will be saved for the time being if it gets the fifth star. However, Eva does not want to touch the special budget that the company approved for the necessary investments. When she rejects Uli's innovation concept, she owes her an explanation. As expected, Uli reacts with horror when she finds out about Eva's deal with CEO Lehndorf. She begs Eva not to enter into it.

Maria has a guilty conscience because she has to make a terrible confession to Erik that puts them both in great danger. Doreen, from whom Erik borrowed money, sets her henchmen after him because he cannot pay his debts. To protect him, Maria hides him in the hotel. But the gangsters are quickly on his trail and cause chaos in the "Mondial".

Eva cancels Raik's anniversary party at short notice due to other priorities. This leads to a passive protest from the workforce against their seemingly callous decision. Meanwhile, Lara keeps receiving disturbing photos of her party night and suspects her stalker is in the "Mondial". With the support of Linh and Florian, she gets closer and closer to the truth - until her search ends in a dramatic encounter.

Paolo meets his old teacher Ingo Harms. A tale of anger and humiliation is sparked, and Paolo decides to seek revenge. In doing so, he almost betrays his own principles. Eva's offer to Jeremy to take on a special assignment raises questions about her true intentions. Raik feels ignored, which leads to a dramatic misunderstanding. The impending escalation also threatens Jeremy's relationship with Uli.

Jeremy, unhappy in his marriage to Uli, meets the fugitive bride Jeanette in the hotel. As they both feel an amazing connection, Jeremy begins to rethink his relationship. The fifth star is within reach and Lukas is coming under more and more pressure. He is forced to betray Svetlana, even though he likes her, and tries to steal her general card. Lukas wants to go unnoticed in Eva's office, but his intentions remain a mystery. Erik, who foisted counterfeit money on Doreen, now has to face the consequences because she demands the repayment of 45,000 euros - immediately.

As the "Mondial" prepares for a big storm, Uli has to experience how a completely different storm sweeps through her relationship with Eva and Jeremy and leaves a lot of destruction in its wake. The five-star commission showed up despite the storm and is putting the hotel to the test. When the heavily pregnant auditor Jennifer Kramer suddenly goes into labor, Lara and Florian are at her side and each overcome something almost impossible.
