Living in the suburbs was the furthest thing from Tom and Danica's minds when they got married five years ago. With the help of contractor James Young, they transform the tired space into an elegant, modern gathering place for their young family by adding a new peninsula, a mix of glass and metal countertops and a funky mosaic backsplash.
