False Witness
A few years ago the best-selling book Fatal Vision, subsequently televised, told how US army doctor Jeffrey MacDonald stabbed his pregnant wife and two daughters to death.
MacDonald was so effectively indicted by the media that millions of Americans never questioned his guilt. Today he serves three consecutive life sentences for murder. His claim that murderous intruders killed his family was dismissed as a psychopath's fantasy. Now, a year-long Inside Story investigation has found another side to the story - one that until now went unheard. The gang that MacDonald described really existed. It's leader 'confessed'...
