Lucky, Zen Daruma Dolls & The Fun of Stand Bars
Our reporter visits Takasaki, Gunma Pref., to learn about daruma, which were modeled on the proponent of Zen, Bodhidharma. He meditates and copies sutras at the temple where the dolls began.
