Joseph, an accomplished archaeologist, originally from Crete, arrives on the island in order to help with his knowledge in a local excavation.

During the excavation, Joseph is faced with the discovery of a particular find. These are the remains of a leather-bound book with French poems. Near the find, human bones belonging to a German soldier were soon exhumed.
