Omid reveals how this erratic home life led to a slightly chequered school career which saw him take his A levels a record six times, forge his A level results, and get turned down from 16 drama schools. Against all the odds, Omid's acting career flourished and his credits range from Hollywood films to the West End stage, and he tells Kate why he made the important decision to continue writing jokes about race and religion, even when his own personal safety was under threat.
