It's a sweet but at the same time tear jerking story. It teaches you how the world can be hard and ugly at times but then again it could still be beautiful. It starts off with a high school student Takeru who works part time as a delievery boy. During one of his deliveries, he saw a bright light passing him and instantly followed it which led him to a strange forest. Confused but intrigued, he found a beautiful girl coming out from a glowing cocoon, calling herself "Hikari". While Takeru was profusely blushing because of Hikari was nude, a strange monster suddenly showed up and immediately attacked the two. Both Takeru and Hikari demonstrated their true power they didn't even know they had. They go through many hardships together, work together, rely on each other, meet some good and bad friends along the way. And in the end, all this anime has to say is "this world is ugly yet beautiful". Join them in this heart warming, tear jerking, splendid anime. For life may he hard at times, you just have to be strong but dont seal your emotions away for this world at times can also he beautiful and you realize then the good things.
