A terrorist bombing in downtown Bilbao kills seven and wounds dozens, wracking havoc in its wake. A young Muslim, Omar, is kidnapped and framed for it.

Gorka, one of the bombing victims, is eulogized by brother Gaizka, who has ties to the bombers. Omar escapes from his captors and is chased by the cops.

Empezar a creer
Edurne, Omar's girlfriend, teams up with Juan, a journalist, to try to prove his innocence. Omar is once more kidnapped when he tries to surrender.

El tiro de gracia
Omar manages to get away and makes it to Madrid while Edurne, waiting for his surrender, is arrested as a collaborator.

Edurne is freed to bait Omar. Police investigator Olaegi begins to suspect that intelligence agent Gorostiza is hiding something. Juan gathers clues.
