Marvel Future Avengers - Season 1

When a group of super-powered kids discover that they've been secretly training under Hydra to be villains instead of heroes, they break out and seek the help of the Avengers to bring down their evil overlords. Makoto, Chloe, and Adi struggle to convince their friend Bruno to also escape Hydra Island. But Bruno's loyalty might already be too deep-seeded in Hydra.

The Avengers lay siege to Hydra Island. While Thor, Captain America, Hulk, and Wasp battle Red Skull, Iron Man and Makoto infiltrate the base to find Chloe and Adi. Makoto manages to rescue Chloe and Adi, but it's still unclear where Bruno's true loyalty lies.

The Avengers, along with Makoto, are tasked with transporting the Red Skull to the Raft prison. But along the way, they are attacked by the mysterious Winter Soldier who also wants to capture Red Skull. Makoto tries to prove himself to the Avengers and get answers about his origins and powers.

Bored with hanging around Avengers Tower, Makoto, Chloe, and Adi sneak into the city to try and become heroes on their own. Meanwhile, Ares, the God of War, attacks Avengers Tower, which is defended only by Iron Man and the Hulk.

Thor takes Makoto, Chloe, and Adi on a visit to K'un Lun, where they meet the Immortal Iron Fist. Iron Fist agrees to train the kids in martial arts but Makoto is frustrated by the seeminly-pointless training exercises. Meanwhile, Thor receives a cryptic warning from the K'un Lun Elders about a dangerous looming threat, which only the Future Avengers may be able to stop.

Iron Man is forced to confront the mistakes of his past when the son of the villain Iron Monger returns to avenge his father and destroy Tony Stark once and for all. Adi grapples with the crimes he committed while under Hydra's control, unsure whether his past makes him unworthy of being a hero.

While the Future Avengers are "house-sitting" Avengers Tower, the wise-cracking mercenary Deadpool breaks in and makes himself at home. The kids must stop Deadpool's antics and keep him from stealing the Avengers' secret files before he sells them to the highest bidder. Makoto is frustrated because the Avengers are treating him and the other Future Avengers like children and he wants to be taken more seriously.

Bruno is revived on the Hydra island base and falls into the hands of the Leader, the Winter Soldier, Ares, and Enchantress. While Captain America faces off against the Winter Soldier, Makoto uses his strange new powers to confront Bruno. Makoto tries to bring Bruno over to the side of good but he seems unwilling to join the Future Avengers.

With the world believing the Avengers to be dead, the Masters of Evil put the rest of their villainous plan in motion. It's up to Captain Marvel, Black Widow, and Hawkeye to stop them before it's too late. Meanwhile, Captain America faces the Winter Soldier and tries to get him to remember his past as Bucky Barnes.

Iron Man travels to Wakanda to warn King T'Challa, the Black Panther, about the Masters of Evil. Little does he know that Chloe has stowed away aboard the Avenjet, determined to meet Black Panther herself! Back at Avengers Tower, Makoto finally wakes up and confesses his fears about his ability to control his new powers.

After an attack by Green Goblin unleashes the Hulk's fury on New York City, Hulk decides to quit the Avengers. Makoto and Wasp must convince him to rejoin the team and use his powers for good. Meanwhile, despite Adi and Chloe's best efforts to stop him, Norman Osborn forces a super hero regulation bill through the government, limiting the freedom of the Avengers.

After Norman Osborn's super hero regulation bill passes, the Green Goblin begins targeting the bill's opponents, including Avengers ally Councilman Reiner. It's up to Adi, Chloe, and Spider-Man to stop the Goblin, even if it means defying the new laws against super heroes. Outside the city, Wasp and Makoto continue their attempts to pursuade Hulk to end his self-imposed exile and return to the Avengers.

The Green Goblin steals Iron Man's Hulkbuster armor and uses it to wreak havoc throughout the city! While Tony tries to regain control of the suit, Spider-Man, Hulk, and the Future Avengers must try to take down the rampaging Goblin before he destroys New York. Adi and Chloe try to convince civilian children that heroes like Hulk and Spider-Man - and by extension Makoto - do more good than harm to the city.

The Leader sabatoges Iron Man's new booster system; if he slows down at all, he'll explode! Makoto is the only one who can fly fast enough to save him, but the Masters of Evil have sent Bruno to stop Makoto from completing his mission. During that mission, Makoto doubts his own abilities after a confrontation with Bruno but Falcon teaches him that there's nothing wrong with having the support of his teammates when he needs it.

The Future Avengers track down a young superheroine who has been using her shapeshifting abilities to impersonate Captain Marvel. When Chloe discovers the impostor's identity, the two teens must team up to stop a strange new villain terrorizing New Jersey.

Captain America travels to Russia to free the Winter Soldier--once his best friend Bucky--from Arnim Zola's grasp. However, the Russian superhero team, the Winter Guard, also wants to capture Bucky to make him answer for his crimes. After another battle with Bruno, Makoto keeps up hope that he will be able to save his friend.

Captain America teams up with the Winter Guard to take down a Hydra conspiracy within the Russian government. While there, Captain America wants to save Bucky to make up for not being able to protect him from Hydra, but Bucky knows he needs to take time alone to re-discover himself.

The Leader hires Deadpool to kidnap Makoto. The Avengers and Future Avengers must track Deadpool down before he turns Makoto over to the Masters of Evil. Meanwhile, Makoto struggles with his identity and powers, trying to figure out his place on the team.

The Avengers are charged with defending a stockpile of Wakandan weapons from the Masters of Evil. Thor recruits his brother Loki to assist the Avengers but they don't know if he can be trusted. Turns out that Loki and Makoto actually have a lot in common. Loki reveals his backstory to Makoto and the two commiserate over their lost childhood friendships: Loki's with Thor and Makoto's with Bruno.

The Avengers face off against the Masters of Evil! But the villains have a trick up their sleeve: Enchantress and Ares have harnessed the power of the Emerald Crystal, making them more powerful than ever before! Meanwhile, the Future Avengers fight Bruno as Makoto once again tries to turn him over to the side of good.

The Emerald Rain Project reaches its final stages as Kang the Conqueror arrives on Earth via his spacecraft. The Avengers team up with Captain Marvel to defeat the intergallactic tyrant before he wipes out most of humanity. Back on Earth, the Future Avengers protect civilians from harm in Kang's attack. Makoto realizes that, even though the task seems small, they are still heroes.

The Future Avengers sneak aboard Kang's spaceship to try to shut down the Emerald Rain Project themselves. Meanwhile, back on Earth, the Avengers try to stop Kang from destroying the city. In the process, Bruno and Makoto finally reconcile. Bruno acknowledges the harm he has done to Makoto and Makoto forgives him.

The Avengers have been sent back in time to King Arthur's kingdom! The Future Avengers join forces with the Sorceror Supreme, Doctor Strange, to bring the heroes back to the present. Iron Man and Makoto then have a heart-to-heart and Iron Man realizes how much Makoto has matured and grown as a hero.

Makoto and Bruno finally team up to use their unique powers to seige Kang's Time Fortress. Bruno feels guilty about his past crimes and tries to redeem himself but Makoto refuses to let him sacrifice himself. He eventually manages to convince Bruno to team up against Kang.

The Avengers launch their final assault against Kang! But even their combined strength may not be enough when Kang turns the very fabric of time into a weapon against them. The Future Avengers are then joined by many of the heroes they teamed up with in the past to take on Kang's army from different time periods.

When Kang threatens to crash his Time Fortress into the Earth, Iron Man may have to make the ultimate sacrifice to protect his friends and the planet. Meanwhile, Bruno struggles with his identity, the mistakes of his past, and who he wants to be as a Future Avenger. He reveals his admiration for Makoto's optimism and positive attitude.
