Bill tries to throw Mr. Mercedes off by claiming that the police have captured the "real" Mercedes killer. Meanwhile, Lawrence discovers what his son Jerome is doing for Bill, and Pete expresses his concerns to his ex-partner.

Brady stalks a man who insulted Lou, and goes with Deborah to attend the grave of his father and brother. Meanwhile, Bill and Janey draw closer.

Janey's mother ends up in the hospital, and Bill meets Janey's niece Holly. Meanwhile, Brady begins to feel the pressure during his interview with the corporate men, after Deb decides to clean up her life and goes for a drive.

Willow Lake
Deb snoops in Brady's room and finds several objects that raise questions. Meanwhile, Bill introduces Holly to Jerome, and helps Janey with the eulogy for her mother.

From the Ashes
Bill deals with the aftermath of Janey's death. Meanwhile, Holly and Jerome find a vital clue to how Mr. Mercedes drove Olivia to murder, and Deb makes a fatal mistake that threatens Brady's plans.
