Episode 3

In the final episode we meet three more separated couples using family mediation to resolve their disputes without a courtroom battle. Cameras go behind closed doors as the divided parties enter the mediation room to thrash out agreements that will help them move forward with their new lives.

Parvez and Robina's marriage was arranged by their families, but after 24 years and three children together, Robina walked out two years ago. They've come to mediation to try to agree on how to divide their assets. With the family home where Parvez still lives with their two adult children and a collection of family jewellery at stake, both couples refuse to budge.

Having recently divorced after 10 years of marriage, Jess and Matt decided on mediation to try to resolve a dispute over where their three children should sleep during the week. Until now they have stayed regularly with Matt, but he is set to move in with his new partner and her two children, and Jess can't see how their children can stay in his new home as she believes it will affect their studies.

We also meet Ben and Catia, a young couple who met when they worked together in childcare. Now their daughter Susie is three and Catia has decided she wants to move back to her native Portugal, taking Susie with her.
