Jean is in Paris with his Uncle watching attempts at flight and preparing his own entry at the 1889 Worlds Fair. His Uncle discusses his missing father with him. Jean sees a pretty girl riding by on a bike and goes to find her, meeting Nadia for the first time on one of the Eiffel Towers observation decks. While there, they are accosted by criminals.
The Little Fugitive
Nadia becomes a fugitive with Jean helping her escape from Gandis and her plans for Nadia. Nadia ends up hiding at Jean's home from Grandis and her cohorts.
The Riddle of the Giant Sea Monsters
Nadia and Jean are taken aboard the warship Abraham after Jean's' plane breaks down and lands on the ocean. The Abraham goes up against Grandis and her cronies. The Abraham then encounters a mysterious sea creature and is heavily damaged. Nadia and Jean end up going overboard.
