Nature Nuts with Julian Clary - Season 1

Season 1

Episodes

Walsall
In episode one, Julian and the team travel to Walsall in the West Midlands to visit Joan Lockley who runs her very own ‘Hedgehog Hosprickal'. Joan has helped over 5,000 hedgehogs and gets deeply attached to her patients. With the help of expert Dr Richard Yarnell and his technology, Julian and the team are able track the progress of one of Jo's precious patients after he is released back into the wild. Jo is overwhelmed with emotion at the prospect of tracking her hedgehog's movements.

Farne Islands
In episode two, Julian embarks on a trip to the Farne Islands with GP and Nature Nut Dr Ben Burville. It's time for a costume change as Julian swaps the sequins of showbiz for a decidedly less glamorous garment, a wetsuit. But it's all worth it to swim with the largest carnivorous mammal in the UK, an experience that certainly gets the star's seal of approval.

Thixendale
In this final episode, Julian waves goodbye to the West End and ventures into the wilds of Yorkshire in search of an artist whose intricate paintings are inspired by his snaps of the surrounding wildlife.
Nature Nut Robert Fuller's latest muse is the kestrel and he's been trying to capture one in flight for some time, so Julian asks award-winning cameraman John Waters to step in. John's high-speed equipment is just the ticket, it can record 1500 frames per second, with ordinary cameras managing just 25.
