Markets endured another down day as the trade war escalates. Among those hardest hit today were certain consumer-based businesses that raised concerns over Americans pulling back their spending. NBC News' Brian Cheung reports. During talks in Saudi Arabia, Ukraine agreed to President Trump's plan for a 30-day ceasefire for the war in Ukraine. Trump said that he will now speak to Russia's president Putin. The U.S. will now resume military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine. NBC News' Keir Simmons reports. Canada canceled its planned surcharges on electricity to the U.S. after President Trump threatened to double his planned tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum. Capping a wild day on Wall Street, the president also touted Elon Musk and Tesla on the White House lawn and said he would buy a vehicle. NBC News' Peter Alexander reports. NBC News' Jesse Kirsch reports from Punta Cana, where investigators shared new surveillance video of the missing University of Pittsburgh student last seen on the beach with people she met on the trip. The 20-year-old student went missing early Thursday while on vacation with friends. Officials are interviewing a man believed to be last seen with her on the beach. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy announced changes to air space rules around Washington's DCA airport following a preliminary report from the NTSB on the midair collision over the Potomac that killed 67 people. NBC News' Tom Costello reports. The Department of Education says more than 2,100 civil service workers will lose their jobs. The department says all of its divisions are impacted by the reduction. NBC News' Kelly O'Donnell reports some leases for federal education offices will also be canceled.
