In Malibu, an LA Fire Department SUV was toppled into the Pacific Ocean by powerful mudslides. An atmospheric river hit the Los Angeles area last night, flooding homes with mud, and cratering the roof of a supermarket. A rare tornado damaged homes in nearby Oxnard. NBC News' Morgan Chesky reports from the storm zone. The Department of Justice moved to officially dismiss bribery charges against New York's mayor, Eric Adams. Under pressure to drop the charges from DOJ officials appointed by President Trump, at least seven federal prosecutors chose to resign instead. Meanwhile, there are growing calls for Mayor Adams to step down. NBC News' Laura Jarrett reports. Critical talks kicked off in Munich over ending the war in Ukraine, where European officials criticized the U.S. for sending mixed messages. In a new interview with NBC News, Ukraine's President Zelenskyy said there's a "low chance" that Ukraine can survive without ongoing military aid from the U.S. NBC News' Andrea Mitchell reports. As part of his promise to slash the size of the federal bureaucracy, President Trump ordered the firings of "probationary" workers at several federal agencies. The move sparked protests in Washington, while Trump said he will downsize the government, but "run it better." NBC News' Kelly O'Donnell reports.
