Former policeman Paweł Sikora leads a quiet retirement life. He often takes care of his granddaughter because his daughter Lidka works around the clock. Together with police officer Lato, he conducts an engaging investigation into a series of murders of elderly, single women. The officers know who the murderer is, but they have no evidence. Another crime makes Lidka decide to get this evidence by direct confrontation with the murderer. Meanwhile, Blacha, a businessman and a crown witness, gives another testimony in court against the mafia. He doesn't complain about life. He records audiobooks, and his books about former colleagues are selling very well. To make matters worse, he has a new beautiful wife - Patrycja, he is on good terms with his ex-wife Mira, and their daughter Kasia has just graduated from law with honors. After the exam, the whole family gathers at a fancy restaurant to celebrate. Meanwhile, in the media there is information that Blacha killed someone. This accusation affects not only the crown witness protection program in Poland, but the entire life of the former policeman and literary gangster. Sikora, although he promised himself that he would never meet Blacha again, must find him. He also has no choice but to ask the pensioner for help.

Prosecutor Adam Gołąbek does everything to arrest Blacha. So far, the crown witness manages to avoid prison, mainly thanks to Sikora's help. Due to media accusations of murder, the man has problems at work. Business partners are trying to force him to sell his shares until the situation normalizes. The dove also lays a snare for Paweł. Monk proposes to gangsters - Kowal and Rysiek - to refresh the cocaine smuggling channel from Colombia. Cassie leaves the hospital. She moves out of Mira's house and moves to a flat bought for her by Blacha. He accepts a job offer in the hotel chain Cyga and Laura, who are now married. He becomes their lawyer. There he meets Daniel. Young people quickly catch the eye. Another criminal dies unexpectedly. It turns out that accusing the crown witness of murder from years ago is only the beginning of his troubles.

Blacha becomes the prime suspect in Kowal's death. Prosecutor Gołąbek is convinced of his guilt. Sikora believes that someone is framing the key witness. He asks Lidka, who is handling this case together with Lata, not to reveal evidence incriminating Blachowski for some time. Pati wants to find out from Skucha why she couldn't contact Blacha at the time when Kowal was murdered.

Blacha is arrested on suspicion of Kowal's murder. He has an alibi, but he can't provide it because of Mira. Gypsy thinks Monk killed the mobster. Prosecutor Gołąbek interrogates Blachowski's ex-wife and his current partner, Pati. Interviews are scheduled to take place at the same time. Kasia's promoter becomes Blacha's attorney. The man advises the student to go with Daniel to Masuria. Marek and Karol are waiting for them there. The police technician who confirmed that Kowal was killed with Jan's gun shares his doubts with Lidka and Lata. Soon the officers discover what Blachowski was doing when the murder took place. Laura sends her husband to Krakow on business matters.

Blacha and Sikora think that Mnich is guilty and are looking for a way to prove it. Blacha starts drinking too much and cannot control himself.

The prosecutor is still convinced that Mnich isn't the former gangsters' murderer. Lato locates the truck that pushed Blacha and Kaska off the road.

Daniel tells Kaska the truth. She doesn't know what to do after this confession and asks Lidka for help, while Daniel leaves the city.

While no one knows when the killer will attack again, Sikora attempts to link conflicting clues and comes up with an idea. Will he solve the mystery?
