In the capital Prince Guang Ling, The Crown Prince was getting sick day by day. The Emperor sends Cui Feng to Tai Yun to suppress the rebellion. The Grand Mentor Xie asks Emperor to arrest Empress Dowager as soon as possible as a warning, but the Emperor turns blind eye to it. Empress Dowager then arrests and kills Grand Mentor Xie. The Crown prince asks Empress Dowager to re-issue the marriage edict between him and Shi Yi, to which Empress Dowager naturally agrees. When Zhou Sheng Chen heard about the news of Grand Mentor Xie's death he was sad but helpless.
