The Post Arabasta Arc includes five stand alone episodes focusing on the histories and goals of the Straw Hat Pirates crew. Luffy and Robin are the only ones who do not get an episode. They follow after the Arabasta Arc. This is the second filler arc. The Goat Island Arc is the third filler arc of the One Piece anime. While being chased by the Marines, Luffy and his crew get lost in the fog and discover an uncharted island. They find that the island is inhabited only by an old man named Zenny and a multitude of goats. They also find a partially constructed ship on the top of the island. The Straw Hat Pirates help the old man out while hiding from the Marines led by Moore and Minchey and working to get his ship into the water. The Ruluka Island Arc, also referred to as the Rainbow Mist Arc, is the fourth filler arc in the One Piece anime. This is also the last arc dubbed by 4Kids.

The G-8 Arc is the fifth filler arc in the One Piece anime. It comes after the end of the Sky Island Saga where instead of splashing down in the open sea, the Going Merry is trapped within the enclosed and heavily fortified waters of a marine base, where the crew must scatter to survive before attempting to retake their ship and escape. The Long Ring Long Land Arc, also referred to as the Davy Back Fight Arc or Foxy Arc, is the fourteenth story arc in the series, and the first in the Water 7 Saga of the manga and anime, One Piece. It is also the first arc to be aired on Adult Swim's newly revised Toonami block. It focuses around a contest between the Straw Hat Pirates and the Foxy Pirates, called the "Davy Back Fight". It is also the setting of the fight between Admiral Aokiji and Monkey D. Luffy. Long Ring Long Land is the seventh island the Straw Hat Pirates encounter on the Grand Line.

The Water 7 Arc is the fifteenth story arc in the series, and the second in the Water 7 Saga of the manga and anime series, One Piece. Water 7 is the seventh island that the Straw Hats encounter on the Grand Line. It is a water metropolis that was built on top of a previous sunken city. Things seem to be going fine for the Straw Hats until a mysterious organization called CP9 gets involved. This arc is well known for extensive use of plot twists and sudden shifts in the story-line, as well as the serious conflict within the Straw Hat crew. There is some dispute as to how the Water 7 Arc should be categorized, particularly whether the journey on the sea train should be attached to the Water 7 Arc, the Enies Lobby Arc, or if it should stand alone. Another is whether or not the Water 7 and Enies Lobby Arcs should be considered separate arcs or not.

The Enies Lobby Arc is the sixteenth story arc in the manga and anime series, One Piece, and the third in the Water 7 Saga. The Straw Hats, Sogeking, the Franky Family, and the shipwrights of the Galley-La Company arrive at Enies Lobby aboard Rocket Man to rescue Nico Robin and Franky. Standing in their way, however, are the forces of the World Government, including its deadly assassin organization, CP9. A massive battle ensues between the two sides when Luffy declares war against the World Government by having its flag shot down by Sogeking. Enies Lobby is the eighth island that the Straw Hat Pirates encounter on the Grand Line. This arc also serves as a point of advancement for each of the Straw Hats, as almost all of them become stronger in some way. In this arc, the Straw Hats also say farewell to their beloved ship, the Going Merry.

The Sabaody Archipelago Arc is the nineteenth story arc in the series, and the first in the Summit War Saga of the manga and anime series, One Piece. The arc takes place in the titular archipelago, and centers around Luffy and his crew coming into conflict with a deadly slave trading ring that sells to the World Nobles. While there, the eleven dangerous rookie pirates known as the Eleven Supernovas arrive, keen on entering the New World through the archipelago as well. This arc marks a turning point for the Straw Hat Pirates since they were all utterly defeated by powerful opponents such as Admiral Kizaru, the Pacifista, Bartholomew Kuma, and Sentomaru, even though they have grown stronger in their own right. Sabaody Archipelago is the tenth island that the Straw Hats encounter on the Grand Line.
